Keep Our Workplace Safe!
Are you planning to restart your business? Great News! But first, let’s make a list of the measures that need to be taken to avoid corona.
MODIFY TRAVEL PLANS
Suspend Business related non critical
travels. Encourage the use of Video conference Technology. If employees are traveling for personal use keep the track.
UPDATE VISITOR POLICY
Before scheduling meetings with Client check their travel history. If the Client has a travel history with a sensitive area or someone sick in their family just cancel or change to a remote meeting.
EMPHASIZE PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
Remind people to stay home when sick, get a flu shot. Wash their hands, use tissues, cover their mouth, use hand sanitizer, wipe down surfaces, avoid touching their eyes/nose/mouth, and avoid shaking hands. Make sure employees know to self-quarantine if they’ve been to impacted areas or have concerns.
BE FLEXIBLE WITH SICK TIME & OFFER REMOTE WORK
Employers should be flexible with their absence/sick policies. Employers should provide employees with remote access when possible. Employees may need to stay home to care for a sick family member or may not have their regular childcare so being flexible is key.
MAKE SOMEONE RESPONSIBLE TO KEEP AN EYE ON EMPLOYEE HEALTH
Assign a task to keep an eye on employee’s health. They can also contact that person if they are not feeling good.
REMIND EMPLOYEES ABOUT HYGIENE
Remind employees about Hygiene throughout the day. Make a poster or notification to keep their workplace and hands clean.
KEEP YOUR ORGANIZATION UPDATED WITH GOVERNMENT REGULATION.
IF POSSIBLE CONSULT A SAFETY PROFESSIONAL TO KEEP YOUR WORKPLACE SAFE.
